Gökçe entered the world of advertising photography in 1992. His professional works have been featured in campaigns for global and local brands. His work received many awards both in national advertising competitions such as Kristal Elma and Kırmızı, and on an international scale with awards from Epica, Golden Drum, Cannes Lions and Nyfest. Gökçe was also part of the photography jury at the Kristal Elma awards in Turkey.
In 2008, he was awarded Gourmand's "Best Cookbook Photo" award with the book "NET: 425 gr". In 2013, he competed in the internationally prestigious Pink Lady Photography Awards in London and he came in 2nd in the "Off the Press" category. He highlighted his "fine art" photographer identity in 2014, as he contributed 5 photos to the "Illumination" exhibition at the Chelsea Agora Gallery in New York. The same year he took part in the "ParImages" exhibition in Galerie Etienne de Causan in Paris.
Since 2012, Gökçe has also been working as a director for commercials. He continues his professional career in Istanbul and his fine art photography on the streets of New York.
